About
The Lumen Christi Academies are united in a shared commitment to cultivating Christ-centered environments that embrace a culture of continual innovation. Our schools are shaped by communion and foster communal witness to the Gospel messages of love of God, love of neighbor, and service to the world.
The 2020-2021 school year marks our third year in this collaborative ministry rooted in holistic formation – the spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, emotional and moral capacities of each child. Our rigorous curriculum prepares students with the knowledge, understanding and skills to become creative, literate and critically reflective evaluators, problem solvers, decision makers and socially responsible global citizens. As a network we are implementing on-going processes and structures to ensure excellence in every aspect of our schools’ programs, life and activities.
This year our leaders and teachers will continue to collaborate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to develop, implement and continuously improve our instructional practices. We are collectively focusing our efforts to address students’ social-emotional needs, as well as leveraging technology to integrate blended learning strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. The results-driven PLCs are strengthening our collective efficacy – the belief that, through collective actions, educators can influence student outcomes and improve student learning. Collective efficacy has been proven to be the number one factor influencing student achievement. This efficacy fuels the tireless efforts and persistence of LCA educators as they embrace new teaching approaches.
